Our art, ourselves

Our final art project for our SKs is a self portrait. We are going to bring all our lessons about the artistic process into play with a cumulative finished product. As any parent of a 5-6 year old knows, a kindergarten's favourite subject is themselves!

The first steps in a big project (artistic or otherwise) is to plan and to observe. Before painting on the canvas, the children used a mirror to observe themselves, then drew a sketch.
