Pedal for Hope

The Peterborough Police made a visit to our school to celebrate our fundraising efforts. They biked all the way from Peterborough!

Once we got settled in the gym, we had visits from all sorts of special guests to teach about about ways to prevent cancer. 

We learned to eat healthy,

Stay active,

 And to wear sunscreen. 

Many students were pledged to shave their heads, and lots of hair hit the floor!

There was a frozen yogurt eating contest,

And lots of pie to the face. Our very own Maci, who conquered cancer this year, got to smoosh a pie on Mrs Duffus' head!

We had some timbits to celebrate back in the class,

and Maci shared her prize with her friends. What a wonderful celebration of her accomplishment!
